Exploring the Shops of Little Venice

There's no secret that Mykonos Town is a must-visit place on the island. From the seaside restaurants to the historic windmills and sunsets, the entirety on the town is gorgeous. During your time in Mykonos, trips to Little Venice are worth it. Whether it be a casual dinner or an afternoon of shopping, the town never failed to produce a great experience. Little Venice features rows of fishing houses that line the waterfront. The town was constructed in the mid-18th century for rich merchants and captains. Now, these houses have been converted into shops, galleries, cafes, and bars--the perfect destination for those visiting the island. Little Venice is also considered one of the most romantic spots on the island, partially due to the sunset views. Artists come to this town to paint the coastline, and the picturesque views allow for a lot of art and design to come out of the area. As you walk down the rows of shops, you will see the color and beauty of the island come to live in the artwork and jewelry you can buy.

The best part about Little Venice is the winding cobblestone streets. Entering the main area becomes a maze of colorful doors, stores, restaurants, that is admittedly easy to get lost in, but never old to look at. Every shop extends onto the street, so that browsing is made simple. From canvas paintings, to flowy white tops, to olive oil soap, Little Venice has everything you'd need for a day of shopping for yourself and for those back home.

The best shopping experiences are ones that you can buy multiple things in one place, and Little Venice allows you to do just that. You can spend 15 minutes or a day shopping in the varied stores that line the streets, it all depends on what you need or want to buy. The best part about shopping here is that not only are there incredible stores with a variety of items, you can also get breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a cocktail while you're there. No shopping experience is complete without food (in my opinion) so the layout of the town is perfect for an all-day retail adventure!

It's hard to resist the charm of Little Venice.

You can easily find dozens of stores to cross off names on your gift list, but the variety of clothing and accessory options here as well will any shopper in love. From incredible grecian dresses that are light and airy - perfect for a sunny day on the beach - to beautifully patterned scarves, it's hard to resist buying everything. Another staple of the town are handmade sandals, which are a must-buy for those looking to splurge on a unique shoe buying experience.

There's something for everyone in Little Venice. Trinkets, jewelry, fashion clothing, t-shirts and printed tote bags, and more, there's no shortage of shopping to do here. However, be warned, you may find that you have very little room in your suitcase once you're done here!
