They say vacation makes you less inhibited. That people tend to “live in the moment” and act more bold than they would back at home. Well, Roadhouse in London lets you put that theory to the test.
In the heart of Covent Garden, well underneath it, is Roadhouse. The restaurant is a great option for American dining early in the day, but it turns into a lively karaoke bar later in the night.
This place doesn’t just offer your average words-on-a-screen karaoke either. At Roadhouse, guests are treated to a live band and host turned backup singer. It’s the perfect destination to have girls night out, or just to enjoy some novice entertainment.

Guests sign up in advance, and are called in order to the stage starting at around 10:30 p.m. The set list options include “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green, “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon and the classic, “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The prize for first place is a £100 bar tab, and with drinks running at about £9 each, this is highly coveted. Second place is a bit more modest, a stereo filled with champagne.
