The colors of Mykonos are instantly recognizable to anyone who has been there (or even just admired the island on Pinterest). From deep turquoise to bright white, the colors stand out immediately in any painting or photograph. One common theme that exists among shops in Mykonos are images of the island itself printed on items.

Mykonos itself serves as an inspiration for local artists.
Irene Ceramics is not the only store that sells fragments of Mykonos. Several other shops hang artwork with the iconic blue color. Images of the evil eye, blue doorways and rooftops instantly spark thoughts of the Mediterranean Sea and the bright blue, cloudless sky that surround the island.
