Dimitris Zotos, the forth generation of the Zotos Family Pastry, and his wife, Irene, have operated it for decades. Basically, this is a family owned gelato store, and the Zotos family started the business when there was no electricity. The "family" does not only refer to the Zotos, but also all the employees in the store. Because some of them insist on making the handmade gelato in Zotos, the entire community is like a huge family that make the gelato with love and passion.
Tons of Flavors
The Zotos Family Pastry sets up a very close relationship with the customers. Every time when they create new flavor of gelato, they will invite the old customers to try, and make changes based on the comments. An old customer said that when she order deserts and gelato from Zotos, she never has requirements because she trusts them. Among all of the flavors, the "Fifty Shade of Grey" is definitely the most attractive and interesting to customers. Unlike its looking, the taste of it is the same as the normal vanilla gelato. Dimitris said that they made this flavor by dyeing the vanilla to grey, so that more people will buy it and the vanilla will not be wasted. This is a smart strategy, and it brings the customer a great fun in the dull days.

The Zotos Family Pastry is located on the main street of Fira, which is very easy to find. If you are on the way to explore Fira, getting a gelato from Zotos will give you a good start of the trip; if you are on the way back to hotels, buying a gelato helps you release all the tiredness and makes the end of the tour perfect.
