The View of Volcano from Arcobaleno
Arcobaleno means rainbow in Italian. In 2000, the Arcobaleno was opened as a bar, attracting local people by the cheap wines. 5 years ago, the Arcobaleno was transferred to a fast food restaurant. Along with this huge change, the restaurant lost its local customers, and greeted the new customers, the tourists. In spite of its market niche of fast food restaurant, the waiter said that they insist on serving the fresh fish and homemade souvlaki.

The Arcobaleno is located on the end of the main street in Fira. As the picture above shows, the entrance of the restaurant is not easy to find. Also, it does not look fancy outside. Only when you enter the restaurant and go upstairs, you will see the most attractive part of the restaurant, the view of the sea and volcano. The magnificent scenery in Santorini is to die for. Every traveller wants to appreciate it from a good angle without paying a lot of money. Compared with other seaside restaurants in Fira, the price of the Arcobaleno is relatively low, which is very friendly to people with lower income, especially students. The average price of pasta in Arcobaleno is about 14 euros, which is definitely valuable because of the restaurant's great position to see the scenery.
Lamb Souvlaki
Among all of the dishes, the homemade souvlaki is one of the best. The Arcobaleno offers more than three types of the souvlaki, including the lamb, chicken, and pork. The duration and degree of heating and cooking the meat are perfectly controlled, so that the souvlaki will not be burnt or still raw. Unlike the souvlaki, the taste of the pasta is not bad, but not amazing. Overall, the Arcobaleno is a good choice for those who try to find a cheaper restaurant with awesome view.
