Louis Vuitton: one of the most well-known French designers, not to mention one of the most expensive has partnered with New York artist, Jeff Koons to turn fashion into art. What better way to educate modern day people on historical art than to put it on a Louis Vuitton handbag?

The Masters collection, which launched April 28, 2017 features bags and accessories with imitations of some of the world’s most famous paintings on them. The featured paintings aren’t just reproductions. They are based off of Koons’ Gazing Ball paintings, which are his series of hand-painted replicas of works by some of the most famous artists.

The paintings on the bags are some of the most historical and well-known pieces ever created, including: Van Gogh’s Wheat Field with Cypresses, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Rubens’ The Tiger Hunt, Fragonard’s and Mars’ La Gimblette and Titian’s Venus and Cupid. These recreated pieces featured on the Louis Vuitton bags are iconic.

These bags can be found at Louis Vuitton stores everywhere. Paris’ Louis Vuitton store at the Champs-Elysees is nothing short of a museum for this luxury brand. Its grandiose storefront with the famous LV symbol can be spotted blocks down the road.
